Media request: for magazine article on home exchange to France

We have had a request from a journalist working on an article about home swap to France for a UK magazine, ‘Living France’. He needs two people to interview for the assignment:

1. An Anglophone who has home-exchanged to France (with a thought to possibly living there)

2. An Anglophone with a house in France (either seasonal or permanent resident) and who has exchanged within the country.

Hyggeby Lodge is located on the edge of the Lake District National Park. Situated in an elevated position with a light and spacious open plan living area, it offers stunning views to the Pennines across the Eden Valley.

The owners are a retired couple in late 50s who bought the Lodge as a holiday property in 2011 and have upgraded it considerably. See their full home exchange offer and more photos.

Equitrekking host Darley Newman riding in the Brecon Beacons in Wales

This is a quote from an excellent article on home exchange by Darley Newman in the May edition of the Equitrekking newsletter. Darley is a three time Daytime Emmy nominated host, writer and producer of the Emmy-winning Equitrekking TV show and an equestrian travel expert.

On her search of Home Base Holidays listings of interest to horse owners, Darley found a lovely little cottage (in photo) in Brecon, Wales right on riding trails:

'I’ve ridden in the Brecon Beacons and there are wonderful riding trails and great stables there in Wales.'

'Another interesting pick was a home in Cadiz, Spain with a pool where the owners are seeking people to look after their horses, dogs, cats, and chickens. There was also an eco log house touting a ten minute walk to the beach with views of horses and fields on the Gower Peninsula of Wales. Having ridden nearby with Olive Edwards, I know there’s good horse riding there too'.

Media request: family with children who have had a home exchange

"I am writing an article about home swap holidays for a well known UK weekly women's magazine. I'd like to get first-hand accounts from Home Base Holidays members. I am looking for families with children or teenagers (who live in the UK); you may be veterans of several home swaps, or novices still looking for a swap, or have only just experienced your first one. Thrills and spills, ups and downs, that kind of thing."
