A BIG thank you to everyone who sent in their photos to our home swap photography competition. We received over 150 photos, making it extremely hard to select a winner.

We loved seeing your photos - after such a tough couple of years it was just soooo nice to see members again enjoying their home swap holidays! We received everything from fun selfies, photos from members' summer swaps, as well as several very impressive photos from professional travel photographers. However, we loved the natural joy in Sarah's winning photo (above) which was taken during her family's first home exchange holiday, a summer staycation in the New Forest. As the winner of the photo competition, Sarah has been sent a Kindle Paperwhite!

Sarah's family home swap holiday in the New Forest: "The travel photo competition has come at the perfect time as we have just returned from our first home exchange holiday! We had a wonderful week staycation in the New Forest with our two girls (8 and 4). We swapped our home in Newquay, Cornwall with a family with similar aged children.  Whilst in the New Forest we went to Paultons Park, cycled around Burley and Brockenhurst and explored Winchester. Thanks to everyone that sent in their fabulous photos in our recent home swap travel photography competition. We received so many lovely photos and trip reports, making it very hard to select a winner. However, Scottish Home Base Holidays member Alison, who sent in the above photo from her July 2020 family home exchange in Suffolk, was chosen as the winner of the Echo Dot.

"This photo is from the home exchange that we are currently on. Today we visited Flatford Mill where Constable painted the famous Haywain - this is the view that we have now of Willy Lotts House. We would never have thought about visiting Suffolk but thanks to Home Base Holidays we are discovering new places."

The photos we received included everything from fun selfies taken during a home swap, lovely photos of markets and off-the-tourist trail discoveries, as well as several very impressive photos from professional travel photographers. However, we loved the natural joy in Kate's winning photo (above) which was taken during her family's home exchange in the English Lake District. As the winner of the photo competition, Kate will be sent a Kindle Paperwhite!
