We may still be in January, with memories of the holiday season barely faded (and still trying to shift weight gained from too many treats!), but smart, experienced home exchangers know it’s not too soon to start planning their next Christmas or New Year’s home swap.
It’s always wise to start contacting members to suggest a home swap well ahead of dates wanted, even if many won’t be able to confirm acceptance of an offer for a few weeks. This is especially true if you need a home that will accommodate a large group and/or you are looking for a home exchange in a specific location, perhaps to be near family or friends over the holiday.
One member, who renewed her Home Base Holidays membership this January, is looking for a house swap for 10-12 people if possible (but, if not, just 8) for next New Year’s. On offer is the family’s four bedroom holiday cottage (see photo), a cosy converted barn located in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the Isle of Wight, off England’s south coast. The cottage is at the foot of the downs on the west side of the Island, in a rural coastal setting, with beautiful night skies and stars.
The family are open to offers on location so, if you have a home large enough to sleep 8-12 people comfortably, do check out their very attractive home swap offer and contact them soon. This idyllic location sounds a perfect, relaxing place to spend New Year’s eve this year.
