"This photo was taken on a fantastically wonderful six-week home exchange – Oxfordshire Cotswolds to Melbourne, Australia.

I was in Melbourne for the birth of my first Aussie grandchild. The occasion is the annual Buddhist Day and Festival at Federation Square when little Bodhi was blessed in a naming ceremony – a delighted Flora with Bodhi and two serenely joyous nuns.

I have another home exchange organised for November, this time three weeks to Grenada, Caribbean!

Viking boats at Birka: we didn’t know the island existed; and so we didn’t know it was the centre of the Viking trading world once upon a time, with a thousand inhabitants. "This photo was taken on our house exchange to New Hampshire. We spent most of our time in our partners’ house in Hollis, New Hampshire but also travelled to Boston MS, New York NY, Portsmouth NH and to visit MASS MoCA in North Adams, MA. We spent 3 weeks in this corner of New England with our three children. We swam in fresh water lakes, visited the only permanent exhibition of the works of Sol LeWitt, skateboarded under a New York bridge, ate breakfast in the oldest diner in New Hampshire and visited the home of the Boston Red Sox. This is Louise's fab photo (above) from her recent home swap in historic Ludlow, England. 

"In this wonderful 1600s house in Ludlow, we lived an experience of a lifetime. Such an amazing little town with it's old beautiful architecture. We visited some beautiful private gardens and met many of the extremely kind locals. We also spoke to the lovely neighbours who even invited us in for a tea. We enjoy the newley baked cake at the market where everyday there were different stands, often with local fruit and vegetables. There was also the lady making fresh butter at the market - wonderful. We enjoyed lovely walks along the river while some young people even had a swim in the river. What a great experience and discovery!" - Louise (Rome, Italy)

Sue in Western Mongolia where she spent several days with 3 different Kazakh eagle hunter families

This is Sue Fox's fantastic photo from her trip to Western Mongolia, Ulgii (Olgii) province. 

"This photo was taken in March 2017 in Western Mongolia, Ulgii (Olgii) province. I was extremely fortunate to spend several days with 3 different Kazakh eagle hunter families. This is an amazing cultural tradition of the Kazakh nomadic people. They use awesome golden eagles. This really heavy eagle belongs to Bashahan, a very proud, friendly and welcoming host for 3 nights. I was very excited to get the chance to wear his eagle hunting clothes. This was a very rare opportunity to be allowed to do this! I was thrilled and buzzing with happiness!" - Sue Fox (Phnom Penh, Cambodia)
