Home swap Q&A: can I swap my modest home?

Q: I live in a modest one room flat in a London suburb. It's clean, cosy, close to Tube and buses but can only sleep one or two people comfortably. Would anyone be interested?

 

A: Home Base Holidays has homes of all types and sizes. There are many large luxurious villas but most homes are similar to yours, especially those in large cities. Being in London and close to public transport are definite selling points; members look for homes big enough to accommodate their party (and many are couples and singles) in locations of interest. If your home suits their needs, most members won't be concerned if their own home is bigger or more luxurious than yours.

 

When joining Home Base Holidays make sure to add a good description of your home and area, add plenty of good photos to illustrate your offer; contact members whose offers are of interest and who want to visit London (or are 'open to offers') and you should have no problem finding a good home exchange match.
