“Further to your post about leaving cats in a house exchange (below), we have had three exchanges with cats, one of them with two and, while we don't have cats ourselves we loved the opportunity of looking after them.
Just one suggestion: have a local person available to either come and feed them or look after them if your exchange guests want to go away for a night or few - we had that arrangement with all of ours and they worked very well. We have fond memories of all four cats and would even look after dogs (we have two little dogs ourselves but they stay with family when we go away).” - Cathy, Auckland, New Zealand
Cathy and husband Laurie are very experienced home swappers. See their exchange offer in Mission Bay, Auckland's "best urban beach".
