After recently publishing a request from the BBC for UK members interested in taking part in a new TV series on home swapping, we received this reply from Australian member, Liz Noble (on holiday in Rome in photo):
‘Oh, if only I lived in the UK I would take part in the BBC Home Swap programme; the UK is the only place I’m interested in and I would love to return for good.’
Although the majority of home swaps are for short term holidays, some members have used exchanges as a way of checking out another country before immigrating or before moving back home after a lengthy period living abroad. Liz, now retired, was only six when her family moved from Scotland to Australia but she still has close connections in the UK. Liz would like to arrange one six month, or a series of shorter consecutive swaps, from October this year or, if that isn’t possible, in 2015. Her preferences are for Glasgow, Edinburgh or southern Scotland or anywhere in northern England.
Liz is offering her two year old home in a quiet location in Boronia, near the foot of the Dandenongs and only 20 miles from Melbourne. View her full home exchange offer. Do get in touch with Liz if you are interested.
