Q: I am interested in joining the home swap scheme but I have a lodger who would likely remain in the property - he has his own room and bathroom so he is quite separate ( he is a policeman ). Is this ok if we make it clear? -Kind regards, Lisa
A: As long as you make it clear in your listing when you join that you have a lodger, that's fine. When you are in contact with other members, and find interest in your offer, you can go into more detail with potential exchange partners about how much your lodger may use (or not) common areas like your kitchen and sitting room.
If he is willing to help them with any problems or questions, most members should be fine with sharing your home - and even feel more secure having a policeman around!
