We had a wonderful exchange with Anne and Danny Shearer of Braehead, Howegate Rd, Roberton by Biggar, Scotland, during the month of July, 2013. The whole experience was full of pleasant surprises including great neighbors next door and down the road in both directions. We walked up on the moors and took in the fabulous views to be found there. We visited with folks in Glasgow, including the mother and grandmother of our exchange host, Anne.
The visits to Glasgow and Edinburgh were fun and we really enjoyed spending time in Biggar where we indulged in capiccinos, Wi-Fi, the bakery, and grocery shopping. We also attended the Biggar Agricultural Show and this was a special treat for us - it reminded us of country fairs in Canada and the USA.

We had special neighbors all around us in Roberton and they made sure we felt at home in their wee village.

We also must mention that Anne's mother and father were just wonderful and we will always remember their kindness and their family.
