Leading the Good Life in Spain: Home Exchange Offer Includes an Extended Family ... of Animals
I seem to have included quite a few posts recently on home swappers who are looking for home exchange partners willing to look after various animals - everything from triops to horses, and all the normal pets like cats and dogs too. Some people do seem to accumulate a lot of animals and, although this may limit potential home exchange partners somewhat (not everyone wants to be tied to pet care), for some, particularly families with children, having pets included as part of a home exchange is a bonus. The following Home Base Holidays listing in Spain reminded me of the British 1970s sitcom, 'The Good Life' (about a suburban couple who decide to go back to the land and turn their home into a self-sufficient farm-cum-allotment): This British ex pat family really do seem to be leading the good life in Malaga: We are isolated, but the Village is just 10 min. walk away. The ski resort of Sierra Nevada is a 2 hour drive away, Marbella coast is a 25 min. drive. There are numerous golf courses around. Walks, in abundance! The peace and tranquility of Spain is here at our Finca.' See the full exchange offer, HE19632
'We love our life out here in the peace and quiet and are trying "the good life!" We have 3 free range hens, 3 big dogs (that will love you to death!), 2 cats, a rabbit, a guniea pig (one day a pig, but don't tell him!!) And many fish! We all live in harmony together!'
'We have a Spanish Finca on 5,000 sq.meters of 100 olive trees, and 20 almond trees (of which we harvest) which has been renovated, has 3 double en-suites, with a separate barn conversion that can sleep 4. We have our own pool which over looks a beautiful valley.
